possible TCC problem

Post by figgnzb219 »

Does anyone know what rpm they are at during a 55 mph cruise? I'm at like 2500 when I'm cruising 55 mph, I want to get good gas mileage. I think I can hear my tcc kick in, but the rpms seem kinda high compared to what I'm used to. I know the touch your brake thing at speed, but I don't seem to see a rise in rpm, also on the scanner it says TCC so I know it is activated or trying to.

By the way it is a 88 Beretta base 2.8 if that helps comparison.

Dunno if this will help, but I was only taching 3500 RPM's in my GT-T at 85mph when it had the stock 3t40 3 speed and a fresh rebuild 3.1L MPFI in it. I'm sure at 55mph I was taching around 2k iirc.
