cams ?

is there any companys still making cams for the 3.1 v6 ? i want to add a cam while im doing a p&p to the heads and porting the intake mani. for when i get the MRZ TB.

Comp cams makes em still.

Get on summitracing.com and do the make and model search. They offer 3 or 4 different cams.

sick they have headers for the 3.1. i can save some cash and just buy a set instead of havin a shop make them.

so with headers, P&P heads, ported and honed intake mani's, the 62mm TB, underdrive crank pulley, lightened alt pulley, deleted a/c compressor, a cam, and (if possible) a chipped ECU and a high flow cat. what kinda numbers u think i might hit? im thinkin id be somewhere around 200hp

Thats about what a stock 3400 would put down too, and cost a whole lot less.

So wouldnt it be easier to build a 3400 out of the car and swap it in one day, rather than down the car for an extended period of time to do all the little part additions? I would think a swap would allow you to get all your ducks in a row so its a drop in swap in one day... rather than something that has to be pulled and built, then put back in.

yeah i can do it that way. with stuff like the heads and intake , ill be gettin from the yard so theres no down time besides the day that i install them. well see , id like to see what i can get outta the 3.1 first
