Its technically not supposed to END tomorrow but I guess those who are better than us are going to just vanish and we have to sit and suffer as the world falls apart... I shouldnt bother paying any bills this month then.
Re: Come on... Seriously? A must read.
Even if it does end tomorrow, what good does it do to go out preaching about it??? What good does it do to disrupt a family as it did with the one in the story??? All it does is make money for Harold Camping (or whomever makes the 'prophesy'). Mr. Camping's church has seen a 28 million dollar spike in just the last few months. I can't wait to see what happens with his followers when prophesy doesn't happen. I love this statement in the story: "...he planned to spend Saturday like other believers, “glued to our TV sets, waiting for the Resurrection and earthquake from nation to nation.â€!!! Stay tuned...up next at 7...the Resurrection...and see which nation will be hit first with an earthquake...we have the exclusive video on news 3!!!

Oh god...to be honest I'd heard nothing about this until a couple days ago. Was it back in the early 90s that some idiot predicted this massive earthquake and everyone freaked out? I just don't see how anyone can get brain washed into believing this crap.
The whole time I read that, I had Homer Simpson in my head saying, "Wait for it, wait for it..." LOL

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

Yeah but Y2K was a bit different. At least there was a legit reason for it in the beginning...the dates with the computers. But everyone did over reacted about that.heavywoody wrote:Just like when Y2K was about to hit.

Yeah and y2k was supposed to just be mass hysteria of everything electronic failing... which is a far cry from what would have happened anyways... Last I checked an Apple II still starts up and thats probably a 2 digit date code... lol
I hope these parents are proud too, because after nothing happens tomorrow then they will realize that they have successfully destroyed their children's lives by their actions prior to this "event". Just when you think parenting couldn't get any worse, throw some religious brainwashing in there and voilà !

This is what gets me too:
“My mom has told me directly that I’m not going to get into heaven...â€
Now, I'm not a real religious person but I know some people are. And to flat out tell your child that, if you are part of a religion of some sort, is just plain wrong.

Yup, exactly why I said what I did above about them destroying their children's lives... Kinda sad what some people can make others do, and all because they NEED to believe something and can't just LIVE life.Ozzwoman9 wrote:This is what gets me too:

I love how even the news reporters play with this stuff and pick at it.

This is one of the reasons I steer clear of being part of any religious group. It's not that I don't believe, it's because of all the mass hysteria associated with this nonsense.
