3T40 trans fluid

I've got a 3T40 over here that I need to change the trans fluid on. When I replace the fluid and filter, how many quarts of trans fluid do I refill it with? thanks.

14 pints. Dex 3 if I remember right or Dex/Merc.

You can't get Dex 3 anymore since the spec is obsolete, BUT you can buy stuff that is labeled as Dex3 or Dex/Merc

Although, GM does recommend the Dex VI to replace the 3 in all automatic trans applications.

Chilton's lists only pints that's why I posted it. Two pints in a quart...not to hard(lol).
I ran Dex/Merc in my 3T40.
I heard the samething Woody.
