Sunroof pops out???
My son was looking at 90 Indy Pace cars and saw that the sunroof pops out on these cars? Saw one car with pics of a sunroof bag also. How do they POP out? He seemed to think it does with every factory installed sunroof.

They should. Most of the ones I know of did.

HOW? They look like they are mounted in. Do you have to unscrew anything? The front is the part I don't see how it does.

Well....
I think once you unclip the opening handle?? It then lifts up higher and should just tip out, with the handle side of the window going up and forward. You probably have to do it from outside, though I can't say for sure. I have an aftermarket myself, it just has 2 tabs in "pockets" on the forward edge and a handle with locking pins (you squeeze to release) and once you flip the glass up high enough toward the front of the car it can just simply be removed. I would assume most of the stock ones are the same way. I know they all came with bags, so... They should come out.

Re: Sunroof pops out???
We have a factory sunroof on the 89 GT. As DTM said, push open the sunroof, then gently squeeze the vertical section of the handle to release the handle from the rest of the mechanism. I like to then go to the exterior of the car, and gently lifting the glass while pulling slightly toward the rear of the car to remove the tabs from the front of the car. Fold up the handle, stow the sunroof into the bag in the trunk, and enjoy the sun!
