Post by DownSouth »

I need new set of plug wires for my 3.1. Are they all the same or should I get a specific brand?

I can't find Taylor plug wires anywhere on NAPA's website. Are these what I need?

Well if its a 3100, get msd super conductors there made for the 3400 just say grand am msd wires. Or I kno someone who makes custom ones that are 10.4mm 3 different brands all combined into one set of beast wires but theyll run you about 100 bucks.

No complaints in 20+ years using Autolite custom sets from Advance Auto. I would stick with a premium brand name. Tip: Apply dielectric grease to the inside of the boot to facilitate future removal.

There is a lightly used set of red color, Taylor 8.2mm wires up in my shop. Bought them for my 3.1 back in the day, and they also saw some time on Baims GTU. 10k miles on them, absolute tops.

May be able to figure out a reasonable price if you're interested.

I just got rid of my 5yr old taylors... Not sure if they were my KR cause or not but either way they were tired. There is NO need for anything over 8mm on these cars since you are all using stock ignition and anything larger is just a pain and cant use the stock wire clips. I'm using the Accel 8mm universal ones that they sell at advance. They are red and work good for me.
