Cross state window tint.

Post by 3X00-Modified »

So since when can a PA officer pull you over for windows tint when state to state laws differ... it makes no sense that they can have the most strict law and if I have to drive through their state they are going to hassle me about it.

PA law is 70% which he confirmed is no more than the windshield aka no tint at all. So any and all vehicles that have an ounce of tint on the drivers glass and are just passing through will get hassled in this state.

He didn't give me a ticket but it's BS and I've always hated tint laws for this reason... also it's another strike against PA.. I already hate how long it takes to cross this damn state.

Welcome to my world. I had a tiny memorial sticker of a friend that died on the corner of my tail light and got a ticket for it. You can hardly even see it on a beretta tail.

PA sucks

That's not my point... I don't have a pa car so I shouldn't have to meet their dmv tint laws. It's bullshit

Frikin pinkos. I told the story at bfest how a cop razor bladed my tint, even tho I had a medical waiver for any tint, including 100% mirror tint. I sued the city and they had to have illegal tint reapplied to my car. Oh the irony.

As much as I hate PA, I see why dark tint is illegal. I would not want to be a cop walking up on a dark tinted car

Utah did the same thing to my Nevada licensed car. Funny thing is that the Nevada has the same tint law as Utah (IIRC) but its not enforced here for obvious reasons. Hell, cops and gov't vehicles have darker tint than most of us running around here!!!

Exactly why I don't have tint on my cars! There is a heavy population of tinted, droped, and fart caned out hondas and acuras around here, and they, for some reason never bother them? As soon as I tint the windows on the Z this summer though, which I will be doin', I bet I get pulled over! I agree 100%... PA SUCKS!

I just find it pathetic that he basically said anyone with tint on their car regardless of where it is from will get hassled... your not even allowed to pass through. Not a way to bring in state tourism if you ask me.

Now if I was pulled over for speeding or something of that sort i could fully understand the statement of being unsafe for the cop approaching my car, but this time he put himself in that situation by pulling me over for simply that.

According to PA law, i can't drive my CT legal legacy through that state... BS!

that is exactly how it goes around here. i've never gotten bothered for my exhaust tinted lights etc. but alot of friends from outta state have gotten screwed by john law every time they come through. the guys at work wonder how i drive my car all over gods creation and never get pulled over. even though i'm as loud as a 351 sprint car. haha. here in central pa its not bad at all. just in some spots. theres a few pigs around me that think they are gods gift to mankind and pull anyone over for anything. i fight every ticket. my fault or not. might as well give it a try. im sorry you guys had such a shitty time goin through pa. next time just roll the fronts the entire way down as to prevent razor blading. cops hate it but theres nothin they can do about it.

Sick it to that fool! Love it.
Crazy how much people around here can get away with anything. When they see an out of state plate it's game on!
