I also made it home, long enough to switch vehicles and drive another hour or so to the better half and the boys. No problems. In fact it was rather boring. But one exciting thing did occur. I managed to go 528 miles on ONE TANK of gas!!!

Last time I ever got mileage that good I found out my fuel pump was failing... Just something to check.

Red car... 440 to a tank and then I tested it.. 15-20 PSI at WOT on the rail... Should be 43 as you know. And I thought the engine was just getting tired.

You have said this before. And my reply then was that it has been capable of this for years, far back as I can remember. Just that I managed to actually break the 500 mile mark this time. The highest I have had prior was 490 something. I seriously doubt I will ever hit that number again. As to whether its a fuel pump or not, who the hell knows. If it was going out, then its been bad since nearly the beginning. And no I have never checked fuel rail pressure before on this car, ever. Probably won't unless I actually have a problem.

My habits on road trips are that I rarely ever run the engine over 3k at all, and I drive exactly the limit. And that tank was entirely highway averaging 65. I stopped once over halfway at McDs in Ithica MI to get something to eat and take a piss. I also have photo records of the tank and mileage at each quarter, and when I got to De Tour to fill up.

I like the fact that a V6 car from 1994 can get better mileage than many newer cars. lol

Some dude showed up with a junk GTZ and wanted 1250 dollars for it. He had the overflow hose connected to the evap canister, and a forty in each hand.

Kept showing us this ancient briefcase phone, and was wanting us to start a "bidding war" on this junk car.

Interior was completely covered in mildew, and the car would only run with ether being sprayed into it. Whole front end was smashed.

Guy needed to quit hittin the crack pipe so early in the morning.

He seemed like he sold crap at flea markets all the time so he's probably used to asking way to much for garbage. That car was barely worth it's weight in scrap metal.
