Newbie from Mich......1994 Beretta modified (RWD w/350)
Re: Newbie from Mich......1994 Beretta modified (RWD w/350)
HI all,
new to the site, But I have had my Beretta for quite a while now. I have really been wanting to do a RWD swap and this post caught my eye. I just moved to MI but my Beretta will be stuck in cleveland for a while..... but i figured now would be a good time to start researching and gathering parts for the overhaul. I see u used an s-10 frame so buying a donor s10 would prob be a good place to start. any advice on how your RWD conversion was done would be Greatly appreciated.

Might try http://www.smithperformance.com/ for RWD conversion parts without using the S-10 frame.

Easiest rwd is buy a piece of crap 240sx and swap front and rear subframes. A beretta with a s10 chassis will handle like a truck. And IMO straight rear ends are best for drag racing these days. Multilink rear IRS is much better. Plus 240's have so much aftermarket you can upgrade every single part of the suspension.

Re: Newbie from Mich......1994 Beretta modified (RWD w/350)
Would (or could) such a f and r subframe swap be possible with any rwd car????? say a 5.0 mustang or lincoln. if I had the donor car set up..... wouldn't i have almost everything i need or close to it. (I really want a V8)Barry wrote:Easiest rwd is buy a piece of crap 240sx and swap front and rear subframes. A beretta with a s10 chassis will handle like a truck. these parts look like the real deal, but also looks like $10,000 for the setup and then i would still have to get a motor and drive train ........gotta be a better way, like the 240sx idea or some other car ?????jjanke wrote:Cliff8928 wrote:Might try http://www.smithperformance.com/ for RWD conversion parts without using the S-10 frame.
