My new/old wheels

Post by Money pit Beretta »

Picked up a set of Z26 wheels. Now have some 205/55/16's on them.
I had to get new lug nuts and ended up with Dorman. They look to have the same stamps as the stock ones do. If anyone has heard or ever had problems please post or PM. I really don't trust Dorman, but they were all that I could find. Lots of stuff was going on and I was in a rush and needed to get rid of some bad toe in which ate my tires(Firehawks, junk!).The Z wheels are not great, but are ok to be used in the snow/salt.

Firestone is generally trash. What you need is BFGoodrich. ;) 225/50/16's FTW! :burn:

I love how online it will say that the tire you want is in stock at the store. You get there and they say "no we don't have the BF Goodrich in stock". Sumitomo are on there now.

Car looks good man! Lets see some more pics :D

Also, Yokos are crap tires! I have yet to have one set of their tires that were any decent. They make decent truck tires, but their car tires blow monkey balls!

Sorry man that's the good side and it has a dent(there when I bought it). Looks to be some nonpro body work near the rear tire. Someone didn't sand enough. Car looks much better in low light(lol).

Looks like no one remembers my old junk AR wheels.

The highest rated "Ultra High Performance Summer" tire on tirerack.com is a Firestone:

I bought a set, and they're a great all around tire.

Mine didn't have the same tread. They would squeel around corners at any speed from the day I bought them to the day before I got rid of them. They slipped in the rain too.

Oh wow, maybe they're changing their game, finally. But the thing is that just about in every other category they're in, they don't rate too well.

MBP, dude, car needs more lows. ;)

Fender to tire gap is ok with me. Still wanting to get some FE5 or FE7 springs. As for something like 215/50/16's that was a bit hard to find and my time was short. Had to get something done ASAP.

I'm not impressed with my Sumitomos, but the wheels look great! You hardly ever see Z26 wheels anywhere now a days.

Thanks Woody! They do have bad spots and some rash, but they are a hell of alot better than what I had on. They are for year around use. Would like a nice set to put on in the summer.

Not impressed with yours? Why is that?
