heavy front end vibration when shifting into reverse
any ideas what that could be? i know one of ya'll know......................

Trans mount or engine mount. Probably trans.

Yup, I'd say bad transmission mount. You can't miss it. It's right on top of the transmission, driver's side. Huge. I'd bet money on it being bad.

If you can tolerate the noise, it'll be ok for a little while. I wouldn't go forever without replacing it by any means.
Since your car is a 94, the mount is between the top of the transmission and the "frame rail". You could get a better look at it through the wheel well when you take the splash guards off.

Guarantee the trans is touching the frame rail when in reverse causing the vibration. When the mounts go bad they sag like a bastard and the outer trans case touches the rail it gets so bad.
