I agree with this if it's something you've built yourself, But something that is a GM engineering Experiment where you can hardly find parts for it already... Thats more of a saving type item.

I hope one of us buys a showroom, then buys the car then LOL. Because i see this thing sitting in a garage or a storage unit, and that makes me sad. It's a test bed, you can see it crying to get beat on in those pictures.

It is too bad. A lot of the cool cars are gone, which makes something like this all the more special.

I wish we could get our hands on the Feretta as well. hah. I was so bummed when I saw how little each of these cars went for at Barrett-Jackson.

As much as the second part of that may be true... as soon as you play games with the vin, or title, then your looking at a legal nightmare if anything were to ever happen with the car that involves another motorist... Insurance would drop you if they found out and you could get sued off your ass... Just not my idea of fun.

IIRC the guy who first bought it at auction was going to use it at the track. But that's the last I heard.

For this car the guy I spoke with was the original buyer at Barret Jackson. He said he remembered talking to two other users on one of the forums about it. And IIRC it was Rodville and someone else who was there.

He didn't state what he wanted to use it for, but I didn't talk to him much, he had a pontential buyer for his RX8 that was only the lot so I didn't want to hold him up.

Maybe I'll swing by again one day to show him what I've built since I wasn't able to bring it that day.

Sweet! Okay yeah I was wondering if it was the original buyer or not. Thanks for clearing that up =).

I wish I could come with ya to check out the car. I'd love if the guy would just point the buyer (whenever it is sold) in the direction of bnet.

If and when, more like just when I go back... I will definately ask him to please inform the buyer if he ever has one in the direction of Bnet.

Thanks, Jon! Sometimes they just don't care, but it's worth a shot.

I had that magazine that I bought brand new off the stand. Sold it to a member here a couple years back right after I sold my Z26.
