Mantapart for sale?

Post by ShaneLT(ShaneZ26) »

I was just browsing around and found that mantapart is for sale. The owner wants to sell it as a complete functional business. With all equipment, suppliers, everything. Could be a cool business to own.

Someone should buy it and change the name and offer customer service.

Lol! That's what I mean someone buy it and do some good with it. Or get wot-tech to buy it and make use of the facilities and suppliers.

You should see if he will give you parts instead of your deposit. They close performance parts dept on Aug 25.

I'll damn near promise that the price he wanted was/is outrageous. Plus, considering Mantapart's market, poor reputation, and rather dated parts selection - nobody in their right mind would waste the money. The only worthwhile stuff would be any engines or Torsen LSDs still hiding, but I'd imagine all of the good crap is all gone.

It's easy to do safe and secure transactions on eBay. I need a set of +/- 4 cam gears. To realize this guy has torsen LSDs and bilstein struts growing mold on their boxes makes me sick.

Paul, he actually has screwed MANY people from this site and Bstuff too, around pretty badly. He's not pissing around on Ebay because between them and PP they'll put his balls in a vise. :D

It is beyond questionable whether or not there are any Torsen units hanging out.

He certainly does not have any Bilsteins, at least for our applications.

Yes, Torsens were indeed available. At least in the W41 cars. Whether or not he ACTUALLY has any may be a different story. Only way to know for SURE would be to either buy JUST the diff from him (because it will be clear immediately if it's a Torsen or not) or to tear the trans down first. I wouldn't take anyone's word for it. Not on a Torsen.

And no, they're not cheap. Usually an arm and a leg due to their extreme rarity.
