Just a quick hello to everyone. Here's a little info about me. I have a 1988,2.8L Beretta. I've had the car completely repainted dark blue. There is very little undercarriage rust and that is only surface spots. I have developed a knoch in the engine and can't seem to locate it. The noise appears to be from the left side of the engine. Any suggestions as what to look for. The car seems to have power, but the knock get louder when you back of the throttle. This car has 249,000miles on the body but only about 65,000 on this motor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

Any knock isn't good, when its coming from inside. Crank or rod bearing probably spun. It will still get you where you're going, but it will get worse until failure

You're looking at either a rebuild, or a ten dollar bottle of 50 weight gear lube. After adding the gear lube to the crankcase, forget about the problem until it leaves you on the side of the road.
