I'm getting my GTZ in two weeks!!

Hi all I need to ask all the Beretta guys and Gals a question to try and help guide me on this awesome car. Well I am getting a 1991 Beretta GTZ with the 3.1 with only 106,000 miles and a new tranny well a racing tranny with only 2k. The car does need some work which I'm ready for but heres the problem. The guy told me " I believe the entire wiring harness is needed to be replaced sine the headlights were having issues staying on and for the issue with the engine related wiring it would start and drive for a little while and then the engine would die. There is a fuse on the firewall that if I would let cool down and adjust it would allow the car to start again and would be play for a little while." Thats what I was told but when i called a wiring shop that only deals with this they told me that it didn't sound like that it was a bad harness. Said could also be a ground shorting things out or something being the ground. So what do you all think and please be blunt and say what you think it is and thanks!

Hard to say what the wiring issue could be. I'd hook it up to a laptop and datalog it. See if you get weird readings as it dies.

Yup in St.Louis for another few years and will be moving to Colorado. And I just bought the awesome Beretta and can't wait to get her in the shop soon. I think the problem is not the wiring harness but a ground somewhere but maybe some of you all have had the same problem. Thanks all =)

Test the ICM, Coils and Alternator. I'd lay odds on one of them being bad. Or more...

I agree^ more along the icm which is under your coil packs or maybe crank sensor
