I believe you're referring to the alternator cooling duct.

Ok find me another car in this same condition for less than 5k.

If you can I'll say 6k is over priced, but if you can't even find a car in the same condition with 40k miles then it's worth every penny in my mind.

I also think it's worth it. As stated above, you simply cannot find one this perfect, anywhere, period! A 1 owner, with only 40k, yeah I'd pay what they're askin', if I had it, and I'd even have them ship me the car.

I dream of a cayenne red Z26. If I didn't just dump 8k into my Quad Z then I would have looked at this. 6k is more than worth it for a car as perfect as that one.

Look fellas, I'm not saying it's not a very nice looking car or that I don't like the color. It appears to be in good shape, though I suspect like 2.2h8ta has discovered with low mileage old cars like the Beretta , that you'll find a HOST of issues with it BECAUSE of it's low mileage. LIMG's, other dried out gaskets, fuel system issues, bushings, I think I see some rust forming under the paint on the passenger fender in that one pic.

Paying $6k for the car that is an average run of the mill , factory powerplant, Z26 is ludicrous when you'll likely have another $4k in it rather quickly ,especially if you don't do your own mechanic work to save the cash. So, before you know it , you have $10k in a STOCK Z26 that's only worth $2500 at best , bb value.

Nope, give me the TT AWD for that price. THAT I would pay!

To each his own..... As for me, I don't agree, but that is my opinion too. Its like having full coverage with no deductible on my Z. I honestly feel its the right choice, and its a choice that only costs me 60 bucks a month. So that works for me,

It's all about the love of the car. This dealer is testing out the Collector market, and why wouldn he? He knows he has a rare find and is hoping that there are people out there like us that are obsessed with this type of car. My wifes Grandfather is the 2nd owner of a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 98% all origional with only 44,000 miles on it. We drive it to shows all the time, it is not a trailer Queen. It fires up and drives with no problems. It's all in the maintenance. The Comet is like a Beretta as far as not being as popular with the collectors as say a '64 Impala or a '96 Impala but still it holds value due to rarity. He has been offered $12k and has been told he can upwards of $20k. Not bad for a car he got for $3k. A '96 is only 15 years old. Who's to say that in another 15 - 25 years that a Beretta won't bring high dollars at auction? They are already rare.

The issue with the Beretta any cars with FWD, most are not very collectable yet. Most america cars that are collectable are RWD V8's Sure there are exceptions (are there???) but a car that does not have many left 25 years down the road does not = a collector car. I hate to say it but outside of the the beretta community you will not find many willing to pay alot for them and I'd say here on this forum that most of you would wake up from the dream of that nice low mile car and still think, hey it is not worth that much.
All that said, I'd sell you my Indy Yellow for 3500 bucks. HA HA HA
