Post by michi »

Okay guys i really need that damn front motor mount on my V6. I replaced it with a Anchor one and it broke some days later again.

What i need is this motor mount: Image

Where can i get good replacement motor mount like stock GM one? Or any suggestions how to modfiy this one so it wont break that fast again? Should i fill it with something or weld it(lol) ?
What i found is Anchor, DEA products and Westar which have these motor mounts for sale.

I'm having the same problem with my '91 3.1 auto. These Anchor ones suck but its all I've been able to find as well.

Buy some industrial grade polyurethane and fill it. Do about 1" and let cure then do it all and bake it in a oven for about one hour at heat levels high enough to cook it but not boil it. I did mine on lowest heat setting for 2 hours and then let sit for a day. I used foil duct tape on one side to prevent leakages.

Check the part number from Compnine and then vintage parts for availability, I'm about to get few items from there soon, you could join the order.
