Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Got the 4WD fixed this weekend on the truck but not the wipers yet. Went over everything with a diagram and test light and everything looks good except for one "ground" wire that mysteriously has 12v with the key on. Gonna pop a pin out of an old connector and ground & swap it with the mystery 12v wire...maybe that will do it.
I had a million things apart on the truck during the overhaul, but nothing with the wipers? haha I checked the switch on the column too since that was out and it all tests fine. I did swap the cruise control stalk and test the wiring and it should be good now.
My o2 is reading very erratic swings and the BLM/INT aren't updating much even though it is obviously lean. I fixed a small exhaust leak at the header flange and checked my o2 bung weld for pinholes and found nothing. And the sensor was new last year and worked fine with the stock engine.
Electrical can drive you nuts!

Moved this topic since its not specific to Appearance Mods... I'm surprised SCD hasn't yelled at me about that yet. And I thought this was a Beretta related "What did you do to your ride" since its not in the Off topic section...

Endlinks installed, front end feels totally diff now. All rattles gone, shake on HWY almost gone (old tires still need replaced).

Drove the piss out of it this weekend. Not as much as those on their trip, but a lot. Past month, put almost 2k on it. Arg.
Time to do an oil change and get it ready for bed for winter. Yikes.

Well, got about 2500 on the top end rebuild on the Quasar. In a day or so, it's oil change time and do another compression test and see how things are holding up!
Fine, I'm willing to bet as it's running terrific!

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
I got the Quad Z out since I got back from Bfest NE a day early. Got it all cleaned up and enjoying the sunny day with it. Probably later on tonight I might start getting it ready to park for the winter. Haven't decided yet..
I know this winter its getting tore apart to get the control arms powder coated, new front bumper cover with new Mach 1 lip put on and clear turns by the foglights. Thats just the start of what I need to do over the winter

Lol. I'm still working on getting something cheap for heat in the garage yet. I still have to fix the 3400 Z yet so I can get it out of the way. It's kinda tight in there with both Z's and all the stuff laying around haha

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
I actually did this a couple days before Nitro Fest, but figured I'd post it finally! I ditched the ugly rubber accordian style boot and replaced it with a used dark grey boot from a salvage yard 92 Grand Am SE! I think it's a vast improvement IMO!

The Grand Am boot is glued to a rectangle-shaped plastic retaining ring. I peeled it off of the retaining ring, cut 4 slits in it and mounted it to the factory Beretta location. Simple!

Took it to my guy that does paint work. Ganna cost a good penny to paint, correctly. Then I would not have no decals either afterwards.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
I'm not sure off-hand? I will take a look at what I can find in nice shape and get back to you on that! I had a super nice black boot from an Achieva sitting in a garage drawer 4 feet off the ground, but the mice decided they liked it more than me...woody90gtz wrote:I need to boot mine. Also got the motor plastics in place correctly, I think. Nothing has been shined up yet but looks decent, complete.
