feels like a long time don't it KFLO....I bought my first beretta in 1997, and my GTZ in 99. GTZ still has 99k on her. (miss driving that car)

Re: Any old members still here?
Not sure when I actually got my Z. Must of been in 2001, give or take a year. I know I was on the forum for quite a while before I finally got my first Beretta. Actually, the first car I paid for too. First was a $300 LeBaron my dad got me, that I had to pay to fix every other day... So really, I guess I paid plenty for that one too. Did a lot of looking around before I finally picked out the Z26. At the time I disliked four Cylinders (LeBaron's fault), so I had to have a V6. Then I decided on the 1996 Z26, because it was the newest sport model Beretta available. Only thing I hated since day one, was the granny tranny. After swapping to manual, I couldn't be happier with the kind of Beretta I chose. If I were to buy another (now that I've learned that I need to limit it, so I don't go buying any more fixer upper Rettas...), it would have to be a GTZ. Preferably a 92 Quasar with blue interior, then I would restore it and keep it as stock as humanly possible. Besides the engine though, that would probably need a rebuild, so it couldn't just get a normal one...
Seems like most of the members that have been around for so long, are also most of the ones that had my favorite Berettas. Kflo, yours has always been really clean. I remember not caring much for your exhaust choice back in the day, but I'm sure you (probably most people) hadn't cared much for my yellow wheels...
Another one of my favorites, Heavywoody and his Z. Front runner in actually swapping to a manual in a 3100. Now a days, you would be crazy for swapping a manual in without at least getting rid of the 3100 for a larger 3x00, if you hadn't already that is. Was a lot of help for when I did my swap. Which was the second documented swap, first on OBD-II. Everyone thought I'd have trouble with OBD-II, but the only issue was an SES light because the ECM thought the trans was missing.
Lothurin, it's good to see you around too. You're car needs a bit of work, but still had some great times with ya at our club meets. Need to get together again sometime. Chances are I'll have the Z ready for Devil's Run next year, so maybe we'll have to make plans and maybe find a few others that would like to get together again. Maybe I'll finally remember to get the heater knobs to you by then. If not, I'll give you the ones out of the Z right then and there.
Then last but not least, a car that sticks around longer then the member. Rex's car. Awesome ride, and glad to see it getting the love it deserves. I can only imagine how much fun it would be to cruise around in a turbo Quad.
I need to make it to another Bfest. Denver was a blast, and I need to actually see some other nice Berettas again. Awesome feeling when you're cruisin down the road with a bunch of other Berettas.
