Then first go through restoration as deep as I did and until then we are really talking about "Diff strokes for diff folks". Nevermind - you probably dont know my car. Everything got lost when Bstuff.com went offline.indyyellow wrote:well I am one that when I restore a car I want it all to be correct. Diff strokes for diff folks.
Thanks. There is or was a NEW OEM 91-93 one for less that GM price on ebay.

I just noticed the look of your car, the front headlights being 4 total units. I like that look better then what the Indy has. What years were they like that? Sorrta breaks up the flow of the front for me. The Indy that is one thing that I never liked, it is just too smooth up front so to speak. Yuours looks good with the units then the smooth one pc center.

Those are the headlights that came on European export Berettas. They have different tails too, which some of us (myself included) have. Some people have the euro headlights too here in the US.

Re: OK, so convince me!!!!
well after you input here I am still on the fence.
So if it does not sell that is ok, the wife and I like it enough to drive off and on along with the son keeping it a almost daily driver.

One main advantage to having it, means you get some better MPG. lol
Honestly, beretta's are an eye catching car. You have to keep in mind, they were designed in the same studio as the Camaro and the Corvette. They were only built for 10 years. They sold a ton of them, but these days, they are starting to become few and far. Our group here has a wide assortment of them, some of us owning several. Hell I was just looking at another one for 300. Needs a motor, but looks really clean. But I don't want another base, and I don't want to buy a whole fixable car just for its hood. HA
Whenever I run into people while driving the Z these days, I get lots of compliments and stuff. Though I remember when I bought it, the Z26 was NOT common yet. It had only been in the dealerships for about a month at that time, so no one had seen the Z26 model before. And I got lots of looks and comments then. lol
Here is the bad part.
I eventually want to find me a yellow Indy. Mostly for its interior and the exterior body pieces, sunroof, etc. So there are a few qualifications. I don't need one that is in good exterior shape or that runs.
I plan to buy a 96 platform (preferably the Z, but a base will work too) with the 3100 setup. Strip the car to clear to the bare unibody, blast, treat, seal, paint it Indy yellow. Swap in a manual setup. Setup a 3400 or 3500. Setup mostly custom interior with a nod toward the Indy look, setup a hybrid Indy/Z26 exterior package, etc. Make it truly unique. And brand spanking new looking. Talking full restore, showroom condition when its done. Custom, but classy.
However that is a long way away yet. Need lots of time, money and a place to do it. lol
But I feel it would be worth it. I have loved every minute I have owned my beretta. And with good reason.
