what did you do to your ride today?
Re: what did you do to your ride today?
YIKES!!! I would hate to see what your cylinder walls look like.Styluss wrote:Yesterday I dismantled my CAI so I could get the battery out as it had started to leak even though it is only 7 months old! I found that the battery acid had not only leaked onto the intake tubing causing some minor corrosion, but it had made its way into the tubing as well as all over the battery tray. I don't think it leaked, I think it "exploded". So, out came the entire intake as I needed to clean the filter too.
Upon cleaning the filter (K&N) I found a large area where the actual material had come out. This would explain why I also found dried mud splashes in the intake tubing. Sigh, so off comes the top of the throttle body where all of the vacuum lines attach. FILTHY! There was literal dirt in there! DAMN!
I cleaned it all up and put it all together, new K&N filter, battery and all. I took the car to the spray wash next to my house and completely cleaned the engine bay topside and underneath. I then Seafoamed the car but to my surprise just about no smoke came out of the tail pipe. I threw some fuel system cleaner in the tank as well for good measure and now I think all I need is a good idle learn and we should be rocking!
Thank God this car has been retired from racing...

well As of late ive done alot. reinstalled my CB with a much cleaner look, spayed bombed my steelies white since they are now to be winter wheels only, worked some more on my rims, respraying my blue hlamps, getting a couple new decals made (surprise). priced out exhaust components since after two years of straight/side exit getting kinda sick of it. well...... thats about it so far. now that we're all caught up. oh and also working on remaking a single thread for the car. finally. haha.

Mostly you meet friends when traveling by accident, like by sitting next to them on the train, or in a restaurant, or in a holding cell.

I drove mine to work, hammered on her for a couple of shifts to blow out the injectors and to let her know i still wear the pants in this relationship.
Poor thing, she sits more than shes driven since the GA got on the road.

I started it. Drove it to cash my check. About shed a tear because it seems something else goes wrong every time I drive it... Don't want to, but have to get rid of it soon!!!

I look at my cars everyday and laugh because I have to buy a new part every few weeks, and its still cheaper than a car payment.
And its the best looking car on the road.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Wow.. I sent an email to the guy selling a running Quad Z26 for 500 a month and a half ago and finally got a reply. I got pictures he sent to me phone but it was sent as a slideshow and can't get the pictures to post on here. It's BRM and looks like a old members car. I know I have seen it somewhere. It's here in Ohio and I might pull the trigger and pick it up haha.
The question is do I need 4 Berettas for a total of 6 cars at my house?? Lol
