funny story
So I started the gt today to move it so I could try to get the cavalier out of here, decided what the hell, ill toss a battery in there and see what happens.... it started, and idles fine, even has 1st and reverse!
The rear wheels are locked but it was sitting with the e-brake on for 3 or 4 years back there. so now I am thinking I may just salvage it once I get it in the garage and can look at everything a bit better. I know I need to replace the tranny from when I parked it in the first place, and thanks to irene it needs a new windshield. But it may not be that bad to repair, even if I just fix it to sell it.

I didn't know you had a Beretta. Thought you were one of the older guys that sold theirs long ago. Crap and now you are going to sell it?

Cool on the selling of the Cav and not the Beretta.
Yes, I know what salt can do. It's not that bad around here, but they sure love to use it. Sometimes when they didn't need to. Then bitch that the city is out of money and can't get more.

Re: funny story
kinda seems to be common practice to piss away the budget on the first 3 or so storms and then bitch the rest of the season about not having any money.
for once i think they just plowed and didn't pour down a crap ton of sand this past storm. once the storm was over the snow was still whiteish by the street and the road looked sand free.

Got the cavi out today, there is virtually no rust on the underside, minimal surface rust on the lines from what I could see. Now I need to get a windshield and start cleaning it up. I may end up keeping it since the door jambs are so bad on the beretta, maybe a 3.1 auto swap from the 2.2 ecotec manual lol
