One fine Beretta!

Hi all. I'm glad I found this website. I am a former bodyworker who had an idea once, it was to modify an unusual car to beat in style all those import cars for which you can buy manufactured already modified parts. I also needed to test my bodyworking skills. I choosed a Chevy Beretta 1995 Z-26. After more than two years of hard work an neglecting my girlfriend ...a bit, the result turned out to be quite spectacular! Not only my Beretta stands out among others Beretta's, but among most of the cars in general because of it's uniqueness. It's only years after my Chevy is on the roads that I found this website. I am writing this post to introduce myself and my ride, and to offer the knowledge I've acquired while building my project to all you Beretta enthusiactics. Well.... there is a little bit of showing off my Beretta too, but isn't having a nice ride all about that anyway?

Like I said before, good work is always something to praise, Good style on the other hand is in the eyes of the beholder.

The work looks top notch, but thats not my kind of car.

Thanks to you guys,
It'll have to wait two weeks before I add more pictures since I'm away from home. Here are some parts I used on the car:
-Acura Integra headlights and aftermarket spoiler
-Dodge Ram hood scoop
-Mustang aftermarket backlights

I have built the bumpers and sideskirts from scratch. I had to build molds and used fiberglass as building material. As you probably guess, this was one hell of a job.. The result was verry satisfying though!

There is a lot more to this car, like the interrior, the suspension, the exhaust and the engine, a 3800 S.C. from a Bonneville SSEi, on which I will be needing some advice soon on some fixes and tweeks. I had the swap done by someone else and It could use some improvments. I'm a bodyworker, not a mecanic

I'll be glad to post some pictures of all this, I'm not sure what is the best way to post an album here, but I'll learn.

I will admit the only thing really throwing the look for me are the wheels. Outside of that, I really like how it looks. Lot of work in that car! But would really like to see more of it, interior, etc...!!

Also interested in the details about the motor swap.

ECU used, Trans used, and stuff like that. And when you do return home be sure to get photos of the bay so we can see how the swap was done.

Wow, that looks like a hell lot of work done very nicely. Interesting car for sure. That front is actually...what some member on here wanted to do in a way...he called that Aeroretta. The difference is...he didnt do it. Starting a project is easy. Not so finishing. You did it! Congratulations.

Call me crazy, but I kinda like the front. A little less gills, put it some e36's instead of Integras and make it higher so you can slam it more, and I'd take it. That's not bad at all!!

The 3800SC fits under the stock hood in my 88 grand am just fine! Early L and N body sub-frame rails are the same, and L body engine bays are like a 1/2 inch wider.

Looks like it's done right. Biggest issue with stock Beretta styling are the enormous gaps in the front end, your's do not have them.

Well, again, thanks for the comments on my car, I appreciate it! And I also agree that this style cannot be liked by everybody It's nice to see that you all seem to appreciate a work well done though.

About the 3800 swap, I'll be glad to give all the information I can, pictures, videos, parts number etc... I'll start a new thread on this in a couple of minutes.

For the color, I don't remember the code or GM official name for it, which suck since I used to paint cars for two years... anyway, the original color was a Plum\Purple pearlescent, something like that, didn't like it. The new color is a Toyota electric blue, some pick up and Echo's had that color. Of course I tweaked the receipt a little bit with 5-6 clearcoat layers and a pearlescent purple on top of that, candy apple style, but really subtile!
