what are you planning to do about the edges where you cut away the material?

I'm going to continue down. I just didn't want to drive around with no vents or cupholders until next weekend.

you're going to cut the material around the whole dash so you only have the plastic form?

I think so! Truth is, this car is ratty and old, so it's not hurting anything to try it out. I just don't want to hurt the function!

The bezel around the radio does have clips at the bottom but the top might flop a bit, and the vent on the left is pressed in

You can fill the holes with JB Weld or epoxy, i don't think that under frame is going to swell at all.

Thanks! I might try to make the radio bezel easy to pop out since I want to install an HU.
