Re: neutral saftey switch differences?
Hey anyone ever remove one b4. I disconnected the linkage and the harness and removed the two bolts. And I know it should just pull straight up.
Am I missing something?

Re: neutral saftey switch
that big rusty nut on the top is the shifter arm it has to come off too and then it is just plugged in.
Re: neutral saftey switch
That a "FukMuShiftMU" switch. I have one posted in the for sale.
At least GM uses a bigger shaft/threaded portion for that. I had that break off my Lexus.

I tried to loosen it but it just keeps shifting. Feels like I'm gonna break it if I force it. Anyway to hold the shifter bracket in place?

Re: neutral saftey switch
you could try disconnecting the cable and heating it up. But you may destroy the switch

Re: neutral saftey switch
When you loosen the nut the lever will turn..but will stop.
You don't need to remove it to adjust it though. You can loosen the bolts around it and clock it to position needed.
The mounting hole will be slotted. My camera battery was near death..but i still got a photo showing these slotted holes

If you need this part let me know I can send it USPS Priority Small Box. for $30
