Google. I usually search user names of suspicious posts. Simple and 9 times out of 10 I have an answer to my question right away.

Cool, thanks. Nice to see that you are helping the Mods out. From time to time I check new members profiles to see if anything looks wrong. I was only able to flag one new member that somehow made it in.

honestly there is nothing to help out, spam is flagged internally and handled accordingly now. as far as the ip, a lot of people use proxies now so unless I see something that directly worries me this initial post was fine. the forums that he joined based on a search on google are all relevant to an IT person and a gamer.

Yes, but I looked into all of the forums that he joined, on the exact same day, with either no posts of the same posts.
