uh oh! i got maaco................
and i am pleased
with the exception of a little overspray here and there and the total disregard for getting dirt in the floorboard, they did an awesome. i do need to fix the hood latch cable(which was already jerry rigged) since it came loose.
the paint job itself is awesome. the damage i did with my diy bodywork shows when you get close but i'm happy with it. it took 2 weeks b/c they 82 cars on their lot to be painted. i hope it holds up b/c it looks great

Maaco is not the problem... its the body work that makes the difference, as you've found out. All of my father inlaws Brittish cars are painted by Maaco, but he has his body work done at another shop first and they are all fine... With the exception of the Healey he had that done body work at his normal shop and also had them paint it.
You really should have removed the molding though before paint, because now it just looks weird not having the bottom trim being black... and I'm sure they didn't paint under them if they were left on.

it was the 250 job with 10 percent coupon. totaled out to 230 bucks.
granted its a 250 dollar paintjob, but for that price its pretty awesome. i just wish i would have been smarter about the prep work.

Cant complain with that price
Re: uh oh! i got maaco................
I had my first white Z26 painted by them. I did most of the prep work and just had them squirt it. This was 7 years ago and it still looks pretty good. Only really started to peel on the front bumper in the body lines. Other than that, can't complain.
