Project: Slideways z26
Re: Project: Slideways z26
I agree, I can't afford to have it break. It's 156 bucks a day to drift. A unreliable car is a huge waste of cash

Working

Done
Tonight I finished the shock towers, welded the diff, and assembled the entire rear end. My car rolls again!!
Still needs a few nuts and bolts here and there.
Tomorrow I will get brake lines made and do some ebrake fabbing.
Fuel cell and closing up the trunk is the last things left in the rear. Then it's full speed ahead tearing the motor out and getting crap done.

Btw those tires are 195/55/15's so there way smaller than the tires I will actually be using

Butt kicking work there Barry, but I have to ask....still have that headliner?
keep'em flying!
Re: Project: Slideways z26
Yes! Headliner will stay assuming its not in the way of my helmet.
Finished the brakes today. Mounted ebrake handle. Didn't mount the lines yet, that will depend on the tunnel.
Pulling motor to get this party started tomorrow

Re: Project: Slideways z26
I like those wheels, so unexpected on a drift car

Re: Project: Slideways z26

Easiest rear disk swap I have ever done. All I did was have custom lines made, the rest bolted right on!

Took it out of the garage to get the BMW in to do some work on it.

Car turned around, ready to pull engine/trans.

Re: Project: Slideways z26
why not mock up the gas tank in nthe car and try to just slide on snow to see if everything in back is Stronger then hell before pulling the engine trans combo?
