Found a rare car for possible project..

I wanted something unusual for a project and found out my friend was selling this, a 70's Bradley GT II. Its a kit car, a fiberglass body on a 1969 volkswagon chassis, i did not go look at it but he said the finberglass is mint and was just repainted and has no chassis rust.. He also said it has a dual port 1776cc engine with headers (57 hp) with low miles..

I do not know much about VW Cars or these cars at all, has anyone had any experience with these ect?
I havent driven it yet but 57hp dosent sound like very much power..
BTW he wants $4500 for it, it needs new door seals and some interior he said, reasonable?

You can't really get much more simple than an air cooled VW engine! The aftermarket for them is huge, and it's not hard or too expensive to build or swap the engine for more power! With some modern updating, offset wheels/tires, window tint, etc. it will be a neat little car!

pretty neat! yeah it might be a really light car, and may go pretty good with that 57 hp... you never know. there's a cult following to the vw air cooled stuff

It's hard to put a value on a kit car because every one is different depending on what the builder spent on it...

Theres about 5 of them in my town, one is even at a dealership. There asking 2500 for it and the others I have seen are really cheap on c-list 900-1500 so I wouldent pay that much for it there cool looking but that price is pretty high.

Talked to him today, its a collectors car, matching everything rebuilt original engine, and numbers say one of the first ever produced, i am no longer interested because of the price..
