3800 Swap in 95 Beretta

Post by fatherof2 »

I'm sure this has been discussed before but I plan to 3800 swap my 95 Beretta. I'm going NA for now but I chose to do this instead of manual swap it for the moment. I plan to buy a Grand Prix or a Bonneville cheap and use all of the parts in it to swap. Are there any pointers out there for a new guy?

What year beretta do you have? if you have the older design mounts you might be able to use stock gm engine mount brackets to mount it in stock like. iirc they came on some of the 3300 powerd cars i ALWAYS have a eye out for these since they are hard to come by and i want to replicate them for people interested in putting a 3800 in there cars.

Alpine, read the thread title, it's a 95, lol! And yes, he will need those 3300 brackets for a 3800 swap.

Fatherof2, I can help, read my sig below. I can give pointers if you ask specific questions.

Yeah, they kept the same design in Cavy's because they never got the 3100 in the new body style after 94. Beretta's went to the new mount style on the V6's in 94 with the 3100.

^^ Engine or transmission? I thought the only change to the engine mounts in 94+ was the bracket that connected the passenger mount to the engine.
