Bump up for the other Beretta, and to keep the topic rolling along from the teaser pic posted to this topic last June. (Finally got around to doing the 92+ brake swap on this car - interesting what happens when you have a Beretta full of usable parts that you no longer have use for!
)

Engine bay pic prior to Bfest'11

Brembo brake pads - I like them, but they create a lot of brake dust. I got them cheap on close-out from TireRack though - $15/pair.

Gravity Bleeding

Old rotor vs new rotor:

Up next this year:

Anyone want a log-style 2.2L turbo manifold? I've got one for sale.
$90 shipped and it's yours.
I just happened to find a better style J-Tuners/Cavalier Connecion turbo manifold already JetHot coated! As far as I know this will be another Beretta first (with that particular manifold used as well as a 2.2L turbo setup in an L-body.) (I'm not sure anyone's turbocharged their 2.2L Beretta?)
All that I need at this point is the wideband o2 sensor and injector controller for the higher flowing ones I have. Then it will be a matter of getting a custom downpipe made for the front 3rd of the car - I had them flange the exhaust when I had it re-done recently.
Been loving the car as a 5-speed and getting some serious gas mileage now with the Getrag gearing on a 2.2L. Still needing to source proper engine mounting brackets for the 5-speed and poly-fill some replacement engine mounts.

Who's car is that? I've never seen/heard of one before. Looks like they know what they're doing - any other pictures Mark?
I did that for ease of installation - didn't want to mess with or invest in new brake hoses just yet.woody90gtz wrote:92+ installed like 91...that works. Now quit taking pics and turbo that thing!

Plenty of pictures of it: http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e204/ ... 0-%202010/
Some more scattered in here:

He's an acquaintance of mine, but I can't even recall his name lol. If I am remembering correctly, it's Todd. He shows up to a couple of WI GM-Tuner meets a year usually. He frequents all the car shows around here, and rarely loses his class. I don't think he's really into forums these days.
And just for good measure, here's a cute shot of his car and mine, lol.

Hmm, nice. Interesting stuff going on with that car. Kinda liking the extra dogbone torque strut.
A bit bling bling though.

Re: My 1991 Z04-Converted "Base" - now with two additional g
that is a nice car! i dont really like the dividing line in the paint, where it peters down on the front fender... i might look better if it pointed to something, like a 'blow me' sticker, (something referring to the turbo!, but also catchy!)
4th one's a charm, 5th one is, beginnning to sound like this is an addiction...

Re: My 1991 Z04-Converted "Base" - now with two additional g
I needed new brakes pretty bad, so it's hard telling exactly apples to apples what the 92+ upgrade did. (Old rotors were pretty grooved.) I also did the 92+ upgrade to my 88 GTU - but was in a similar situation with the condition of the brakes prior to. I will say that I prefer to availability of performance parts for the 92+ up hardware though.Robert 89gt wrote:Nice work the car looks really good=)

That Todd guy lives (or at least used to) in the next town up from me. He didn't seem to know much about what was done to the car, he just gave it to a local speed shop with a butt-load of $ and picked it up later. He always brings it to our local car show.

Yep, I remember him talking about the work that was done to it by the shop. Still a nice guy though. Just loves his car and his girl.
