swapping out the 2.8

I'm figuring this spring/summer it will be time to put in a new engine in the gtu amongst a trans and paintjob..what's the best engine swap available and maybe a rough estimate. Also how much time would it take and if possible all parts that would be needed for the swap. Hell I wouldn't mind paying someone to help me do it to the guys that have already swapped thiers out.. just trying to see what's out for the swap.. thanks guys

Go 3500. Around here you can get them for like 80 bucks. You can do the swap for about 300 bucks and the power gain is really nice. You need the engine, a external crank trigger, other little junkyard items, and custom mounts. You should get a custom chip to take full advantage of the new motor.

Barry I seen that your from pa. As I am too. Have you done the swap before? And would you be interested in doing it for me sometime this summer if that's what I decide to do? What's the hp on those motors?

Yes I have done this swap. Almost 3 times now in my own car haha.
