Stock exhaust size?

Quick question, the stock exhaust size for my GTU is 2in, right?

Most of the early cars had 1 7/8" exhaust, it was pretty restrictive. I have seen some 87's and some early 88's have what appeared to be 1 1/2" exhaust, it was tiny! My GTZ came stock with 1 7/8" pipe, with a 2 1/4" double walled down pipe.

Okay, The auto parts list it as 2''. I guess I'll have to go out and do some measuring.

This is correct. But back then, the original was 1 7/8". All the replacement parts are 2", which should slip over and clamp down on the original smaller pipe.
