EBased on this, anyone intentionally involved in one of the many "events" at '05 are considered warned through Pittsburgh.  I should not have to explain myself fully on this, so please don't argue a point etc. ÂÂÂ
I would like to add my $.02 on this comment. ÂÂÂ
I don't feel that it's appropriate to punish someone from last year's event's through this coming year's event based upon newly established "rules" that weren't effectively in place at the time of the previous incident.  I believe that regardless of previous actions, everyone attending Bfest '06 sould be attending w/ a 'clean slate' so to speak.  I understand that the parties involved should have known better & maybe should have been punished for thier actions, but nowhere was the a 'code of conduct' for bfest attendees to follow, listing the concequences of their actions.  as I see it, you cannot, 'legally', repremand someone for previous actions based on new rules.
that's like the Government saying "we set up new tax rules this year & you owe us money from 1996..."
I agree whole heartedly.

Whatever.
So you're saying there needs to be a "code of conduct" at Berettafest to direct adults to act like...adults?
Here, let me help you with your "Code of Conduct"
The Code of Conduct requires that an attendee must:
behave honestly and with integrity during the course of Berettafest;
when engaged in events during Berettafest, treat everyone with respect and courtesy, and without harassment;
while attending Berettafest, comply with all applicable local laws;
comply with any lawful and reasonable direction given by someone in the Berettafest Committee who has authority to give direction;
at all times behave in a way that upholds the group values and the integrity and good reputation of the Beretta Community.

Uh... so you say "whatever" to a code of conduct but then suggest an example of one
Don't think that this is going to be something stifling - I'm sure it'll be very similar to what you posted. I bet it'll also have some legal mumbo jumbo to protect the organizers. There's nothing wrong with guidelines, and as you know there are a good chunk of Bfest attendees that are NOT legally adults and could probably benefit from seeing what is expected from them in plain black and white.

I agree Jim - in a sense, it's kinda sad that it's come to this - but the attendees actions have made it necessary, after many years of early-teen type behavior.  Jim, you know the maturity levels of some of the people that attend, I'm somewhat surprised that you don't think this is necessary.  I'm not saying that I don't act immaturely at times - which is why specific guidelines are useful, the committee wants as little grey area as possible. These are the reasons exactly for having a printed code of conduct. We all know that you are supposed to behave at a public event, but things happen. Each person will be provided with a copy of the Code in their packet at check in, and everyone in attendance will be required to sign a waiver saying that they have read and understood. It has, unfortunately like Jason said, come to the point where we need to do this. Keep in mind that this is not to cover just us organizer's butts, but also for the general attendee.
As far as warnings, etc. Even though the new warning system was not in place for OH, we will still "retrofit" it to that event. There were some serious issues that went on, and the line needs to be drawn somewhere. If we do not reprimand people for fighting and vandalism simply becuase we had nothing "official" at the time, when/where do you draw the line? Personal feelings aside, anyone questioning this move needs to ask themself what is best and most fair for the group? I can see the reasonings on a personal level for not aggreeing with this policy, but for the group it is essential.

I was saying "whatever" to the post above mine.
I'd love to call a spade a spade, but this board doesn't need any drama like it had some time ago.
The guilty parties know who they are.

Sorry, a code of conduct means nothing legally. The only thing that carries any weight is if someone is disturbing the peace enough that the cops decide to do what they need to regain control of a situation.
If the group wanted me gone, all they have to do is call the cops. It doesn't matter if I'm right or not. The police go with the majority AND THAT means I would be asked to leave.
This works under any situation out in the public.
I could show up the next year, against your wishes, and there is nothing you can do legally.
The only way to get rid of people is to get the one dominant group to get the lesser group/individual condemned by the law.

DJ (Don) did a lot of the initial planning, but it seems I'm the person at the moment. Marty has been offering some support and suggestions as well.

I don't think the price of registration has been determined - I wouldn't wager a guess at this time of the price.  It's June 22nd - 25th. ÂÂÂ

I'd wager a guess, $15. Unless the hotel that wants to keep us inside is going to add to the cost of admission...
