What fuel pump can I use?
What fuel pump can I use?
Hi
I got a 1996 beretta and I would like to know what fuel pump can I use for my car. I don't want a wallbro ( iheard bad thing about them) but i would like something of replacement. I need a higher flowing pump for my 36lbs injectors and i'm gonna run boost.

Not sure what you've heard about walbro, but thats all I've ever run... I had one in my 95 and now in my 96, neither one gave me issues, at least no issues that I didn't create.
Aeromotive and Racetronix are the only other two that I know of who make 255+ LPH high pressure pumps... I do not know which models fit though.
My 96 has a Walbro from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com NOT an e-bay fake.
Double check what the inlet is on the 96 factory and you can get the FPG003 kit like I did... I believe that is the center inlet pump which fits however I cut up my bucket... kinda wish I hadn't but I didn't know if the pump would starve itself in the bucket if it was pumping a lot of gas, I never tested it to see if it would or not.
It might have an offset inlet which would make it the FPG169 kit... I might have the wrong inlet pump on my car. I know I had to do more work on the 96 to get it to fit than the 95... I think the 95 plugged right in where the 96 I had to splice a connector on. I can't remember now, but this is what my setup looks like

Thats probably what it was... Walbro got a good hit on that one since the chinese knock offs were tagged with their logo's... But I know for sure that http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ has the real ones. There is a website out there telling you what to look out for too.
