FS: Ported 3.1 Intakes - Debary, FL.

Post by lolwut »

Item: Ported intakes for a 3.1L V6
Location: Debary, FL
Price: $200 + pp fees shipped to continental 48 states ($6.28 according to http://ppcalc.com)
Description: Ported and polished 3.1 intakes. I purchased these from someone on BStuff who purchased them from KFLO who performed the work on them. They've been sitting in the box I received them in, never installed them on my car. The bolts are missing, but you can just reuse the ones on the car. The EGR port is blocked off with a plate. Buyer also gets a set of Fel-Pro gaskets to go with them (box has been opened to make sure everything's there).
Items sold as-is, in the interest of moving these no dibs, shipping insurance not required but highly recommended. Thanks for looking!

The 3.1 intake is interchangeable with the 2.8..... right?

My understanding is yes, but I'm not absolutely certain.

Yes it is totally interchangeable with the 2.8. The only difference is the PCV valve tube - the vacuum source is on the bottom of the 3.1 upper plenum instead of coming out of the lower intake.

Have they been ported out as in made larger or whatever= honed , or just all shiny and purdee? How much increased air flow do you think you would gain ? I know there is alot involved to change these... that why you never installed it yourself? Also is the price firm?

Yes, they are ported. I don't have a stock manifold to compare to anymore but the runners are larger. I can't speak for performance gains because I don't know. They never went on my car because by the time I received them from the seller I didn't have time to put them on anymore.

DTM Ace has a LIM gasket replacement how to on here for a 3100, 3.1 should be similar.

Here's a photo of the size of stock manifold vs. this set. These were mine many moons ago. My 3.1 pulled hard up top, for a 3.1.

^^ The install isn't difficult, it just takes time and patience and getting a little bit of gas on your hands as you figure out how to depressurize the fuel rail

I'll try to get a shipping quote today and go from there on the price.
