1990 GTZ quad 4

Post by 1990BerettaGTZ2.3L »

Just bought the car yesterday from a guy south of me that recieved the car as payment for putting a motor in a truck, I got the car and it's from Texas for $600, only downside is that it was a father son project that they attempted to fix up and it's got a new junkyard motor they put in I hope they got the correct motor put in supposedly they did cause the junkyard wanted the vin to find the motor, anyways what happened to me since I've been on this forum is I sold the z-26 to my dad and he's fixing it up and I came across this GTZ on craigslist, went and looked at it and notice that the people that did the motor the cut every plug and respliced it back on the new one I was thinking what the heck this thing is gonna take awhile to fix up but hey I got it for $600 can't complain for a Texas car that's actually in Pennsylvania haha... The kid that recieved it on payment that sold it to me said he tinkered with it and said ge didn't have time to fix it, it rolls over and gets fuel but I don't think it's getting spark cause he said he sprayed starting fluid in it to see if it would sputter nothing so I think it's a spark problem or crank sensor problem, but was wondering if anybody put there had a 90 quad 4 engine harness since one up here is about impossible to find since all the older cars are crushed, if someone has a harness let me know so at least I can get a fresh start on the car and at least I would know the harness is nice in it then I can go from there if it still doesn't run, cause I really don't feel like getting into expensive sensors when it could be the harness itself and I bought hundreds of dollars worth of sensors when that wasn't even the problem if someone could let me know that would be sweet

Engine harness may be the same though... Granted yes interior changed and possibly the headlight harness changed as well, but thats seperate from the engine harness.

I looked the two and the wiper motor part is the only difference.

wiper motor wiring is part of the headlight harness so once again that shouldn't affect the engine bay harness if you need only that.

I would probably just try to fix the harness you have. take the thing out and solder/shrink wrap the wires that were cut. then retape it all back up. then test your repairs with the ohm meter.

These are the years that will fit for your engine Harness:

'90 GTZ Quad 4 HO.

There you go.

Corsica? HAHA! No, don't think so. They never came with a Quad ,ever in any year , for one thing...
