CORBRETTA is born!

I admire the work on the '94 GTP, but putting the gas tank where the Pintos used to be could quickly end the life of the car and maybe passengers. That unibody is so crippled it would not take too hard of hit to jam the doors and cause a fire.  The torque tube will add some support to the rear of the chasis.

Thanks for the Schram link!

Damn Norm.  Damn.

Like was said before, most of the time when people bring up this sort of thing I play it off as a pipe dream.  But... you're Norm, and bitchin things come from the land of Norm.  I can't wait to see how this progresses.

Hey norm, if your'e gonna go that far, use the new LS2 motor and GM's 6L80E trans... It shouldn't be that hard.

Then you'll have your power requirements, and TONS of aftermarket available.

I'm pretty sure Norm is a Manual guy and considering he wants to road race the car, so it will probably be a Six Speed T56

There is no support for the LS2.  Even after it has been out in the Vette for over a year.   I automatic transmission are for turbos....

If I had the resources I would not putting it into some Oldsperson car.  The only reason that car is still around is because it has Leno's name associated with it.  Got to love donor cars:

If this gets finished, and I don't think you'll quit on it, then you will be the ultimate beretta "GOD" no questions asked.  I was jealouse of the daily driver supercharged version, now you'll probably be able to get into the 10's or quicker... that will be KICK A$$

From that link you sent, it looked like a fully body replacement that was going to be dropped ontop of the C5 frame, im like ok thats cool.  Then you keep scrolling and you get to the new frame, and all they are using the C5 is for parts. Thats cool too, but that new beast of a car looks like its going to be a mid engine LS1 powered, RWD Supercar.

Teaser pic of firewall through to the trunk lock:

The whole car is stripped except for body panels, glass, and frame.  It took about 20 hours to remove everything.

I do, but it took me a few seconds to get it all figured out even with him telling us what is was.

It's quite strange looking THROUGH the interior of a vehicle from the engine compartment.
