He has $0 deductible is why! And mine was around $60/month...but that's my only car on that policy, so I don't have any added discounts. Way too much to pay for something that was only getting driven a few miles a day!spacecadetz26 wrote:holy schniekies $70 is alot for insurance on a beretta. And Mindy, the car damage may be covered on your homeowners policy since it happened at home...it covered hail damage on my grandparents rv that was parked in their driveway...might cover everyone's car since they were all at your house at the time it happened.

Nope, home owners does not cover cars unless the car would happen to be in the garage when totaled or if say a tree or something like that fell on it. Sucks, but that's just how it is.ronaconda wrote:And Mindy, the car damage may be covered on your homeowners policy since it happened at home...it covered hail damage on my grandparents rv that was parked in their driveway...might cover everyone's car since they were all at your house at the time it happened.

I pay $125 a month for my 07 Legacy, 05 Impreza and my Beretta and two drivers... Collision on the two subies $500 deduct, and liability only on the Beretta... I don't deal with the big name companies, I have insurance through a local rep and high end company, its a bit cheaper since they don't insure just anyone like progressive, or geico and so on, they only insure people with good records, It keeps their costs down so I don't have to pay as much.
Its weird how every states insurance is so different... and at the same time two people could have geico in two different states and get treated completely different.

I would bet that your insurance agent has your policy held with a larger company. That's how it is on our mustang, it's through a local agent but the policy is actually held through progressive.3X00-Modified wrote:I pay $125 a month for my 07 Legacy, 05 Impreza and my Beretta and two drivers... Re: Darn Midwest Weather!!!
I'm a little more aware of the small details than some, I wouldn't deal with an agent to get a policy through a public company, there is no point since you can do that on your own.
I went to the agent to get a policy with a private company to get costs down, they had to approve us and he told me for those that don't get approved then yes their firm can move to one of the big public companies so they don't have to deny someone completely. But they have their initial list of private companies they start with and have those for last resort.
My insurance is through American Commerce Insurance Company.
I still get an insurance card that has the company's information right on it... I think I would have noticed if it was Progressive or something, The only thing on there that references the firm I went through is the Agent's number.

Re: Darn Midwest Weather!!!
I pay $125 a mo for an 03 f350, 95 tahoe, 00 saturn and the 94 camaro and 2 drivers. but they do also have my homeowners plus the 2 atvs. so i get a multipolicy discount. This is through my local farmers insurance. I wont deal with progressive anymore they kept jacking my rates up because my of zip code even though I live in the country. I used to pay $80 for just the F350 through progressive. when i had motorcycles it was even worse! my fiance's CBR 954rr was $800 a yr through prog and $600 from state farm. then when i switched to farmers it was $32 a month. was like WTF... my Vmax was only $200/yr i never understood since the CC's were more on the Vmax. but i guess you could go from 0-100 in like 4 secs on the cbr. lol

I pay just over 700 every six months. Full coverage on the Malibu and liability on the Z and my gfs 97 Sable. Eh I get a homeowners discount so I don't think its too bad.

Well the beretta won't be getting fixed for a while, especially since the transmission went out in it a few months ago
I did get the mustang back from the body shop last week

$7700 later and it looks brand new and nearly the entire car has been repainted now.
And so today the modifications on it started. Got these and a free H pipe installed on it today and it sounds awesome!

I only pay around $300 something a year! Only, they won't offer anything but basic because it's according to them it's not worth any more coverage because it's an 89. No idea what the LeMans will be, hopefully not bad.SummitBalt08 wrote:I pay just over 700 every six months. Full coverage on the Malibu and liability on the Z and my gfs 97 Sable. Nice mustang Ozzwoman9 $7700 for hail repair? or was there something in the thread I missed?
Darn Midwest Weather!!!
Yes that was the cost of the hail repair on the mustang. New hood, new roof, paint less repair on front fenders, and conventional repair to rear fenders, new front and rear windows. So basically since we've owned this car the whole thing has now been repainted! lolGTU89 wrote:

I would have gotten long tubes, but these bolted up to the stock pipe which is why I got them...that was all before I knew we'd end up with a free cat less X pipe! lol
