Actually the heater core hole in the firewall. I'll take some more pictures since there is some interestin things most have never seen.
I dropped close to 1,000 lbs. out it as when I am in the inside the jack stands are not even and the chasis teater-totters.

Craig the steering rack will be included in the C5 running gear. I just need to mount the steering column. The C5 running gear is complete with subframe for both front and rear including short-arm/long-arm, sway bars, and shocks. Here is someone's pic of the front showing the accordian boot the steering rack.

Looking good Norm, any idea on a timeframe for this monster? Or is it just as you get the money and time to work on it?
Wish I had the cash to get a real start like that.  All I have right now is the 350 which still needs rebuilt in the garage and a rear axle I haven't picked up yet.

Probably not, but is the one inch or so of wheelbase difference going to make it close with 18" wheels on the rear?

I'll have something running and working this spring or in a couple of months. More contraints than a learning curve right now between school and work.
There are up to 7 computers in the '97 and later Vettes and I plan on transferrer them all over. Along with the IP and center console might take a few more months to complete the interior.
It took about 40 hours to put the supercharger on the last engine. And it was mostly due to a learning curve. Huh, probably be on the dyno or track sooner than some other people's projects.

Very sweet on the spring deal.  Hope thing goes as smoothly as possible so we can see just what this thing can do when it's done. If Rex has dibs I want 2nds
Planning on getting a lot of my stripping done over semester break but with lack of fundage there won't be much going on after that until I can get the scratch up for parts.  At least I have the block I guess.

I've been watching prices over the last few months of both salvaged and drivers. As get an idea on what is a good deal I probably pick up a set of subframes and start fitting.
The rear C5 tire is 2" taller than a stock 205/60-15. Don't know if I'll stick with the same size C5 wheel/tire combo.

About 27 inches in diameter right?
I'm using a GM 10 bolt rear end so I'm gonna stick to 15 inch rear wheels cause they're so easy to come by.  Figuring something in the realm of 26-27 inches for the rear diameter to put the back end of the car up a little.

Yes, in the ballpark of 27" in diameter. Tire width in the rear will probably be limited to wheel offset but he rear of the Beretta could accomodate 315mm width and remain under the fender lip. Depends how low the suspension is.
