Sounds good.
Did you buy the sway from them or another company?

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
I bought it through a distributor, but they sent the brackets direct.

Nice, that's awesome news! <--I don't know what that is...but I like it.woody90gtz wrote:Ok, that was poor wording on my part. What I'm getting at is...Addco will supply you with everything you need and you don't have to fabricate anything. Just give them a call.
I don't mind fabricating things when I need too. The first thing I was taught in my 2 years of auto tech school, was to hand fabricate a steering wheel puller out of flatstock and some basic measurements. It did help me get a lot more familiar with a variety of tools I had never even used before.
Anyway, I know what I must save for now

Tired of telling people to search for this over and over again so I'm pinning it...

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
Ok......so I must put the bar on, then line up the rear brackets and drill holes in the spring pocket. Drilling in the center to allow for change when the car comes down off the jack.
Sorry the searching came up with nothing useful. Addco rear sway bar, rear sway bar install, Z51 sway bar install and just Addco. For me the "search" here has always been a problem. Kind of acts like Bing, same stuff(or just the words) over and over again.
This time of year I'm in a rush to get things done before the cold and snow sets in. Going to put this in the big to do pile next year now. If it was not for the loss of income twice it would be a different story and not the same one.

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
This one is easy to find. Was looking for something with a bit more info on what to do. All my searches came up with great photos of bars on the cars. That can be somewhat helpful in a way.
Well if it's that straight forward then I'm no long going to worry about it. Just wanted to avoid any screw ups on my end. If it takes you 30min it will take me four hours. That's (my) life.

Why does it seem that the bracket that goes over the axle does not line up with that u bar hook...and why does the suspension bracket not have a drilled hole on both sides?

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
Come on guys... With the combination of this post showing the thickness of spacers I used and the STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS included with the bar you should be able to figure this out. THEY HAVE FRIGGEN PICTURES!
Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
I just forgot to get another pair of the center brackets. I got it figured out now. lol

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
Damn! Somehow lost my link to Woody's post with the part number for those shims. Did a search.....you know how that goes for me. Or do I just need to ask Addco? No time to call so it will be done in a email.

Re: ADDCO REAR SWAY BAR
I have the part number for the shims on my desk. I'll post it tomorrow. Also if it's going on a 95 or 96 you will also need another pair of center brackets.Money pit Beretta wrote:Damn!
