System all done... Small brakes on for Bfest, and ready to go to NY this weekend for Woodys wedding.. Also threw the Hoosiers on to see what it would look like.

I love that look!!! Something about smaller diameter wheels with white letter tires gets me. Those are 16" wheels aren't they? Drive safe!

No the box is just set in there, and those are technically drag radials still lol way more slick like than my BFGoodrich tires tho.

And yeah they are 16" rims... They are like the only slick that is the same as stock sized tires, so for all those going to smaller tires to get more ratio, I'm not doing that... I have enough wheel spin issues as it is. LOL.

In 225/50/16 form, most likely.

Time to figure out how to stuff a 245 in there Jon...

NY is not friendly to my car...

I think I spent a good 2 hrs yesterday cleaning the car after going up there... Took a different way to the wedding and ended up being a dirt road... and of course it had been raining a lot lately so it was a MUD road! lol

I have a HUGE spot of dirt on my driveway now from getting in all the cracks and getting out all the sand/mud from under the car. I'm sure not all is from this weekend but it got a nice full tire off sitting on jack stands cleaning last night. Just need to change out the rear shock mounts tomorrow, swap in my steering wheel and then wax it since she's not beading water like she should!

Did some work last night...

Put the wheel in from the Red car.

Image

Installed my XM radio from the red car... I need something that I wont be constantly changing stations on my way to Bfest.

Image

Rear shock mounts since Amy said they were making noise on the bumps... IIRC they were original.

Image

And this is the mess left in my driveway from the NY trip... lol

Image

Also found a little more scaled rust in the back than I hoped around the spring mounts up top... Only on one side is it bad and I think I could easily cut the material out and replace it if it actually is compromised... I don't believe it is but it was an area that had some rust present when I got the car and I covered it, hoping to prevent further rusting and I'm not sure if this is additional to what was there or it just finally broke apart. I can't expect this car to be spotless, it was daily driven in CT so to be honest this is very minimal. I could fix it by simply building a new spring mount for the top. Cleaned it up treated it and going to seal it with undercoating for now and hope for the best lol.
