somethings gone haywire

Post by mbiwilson »

This is my daughters explanation when the key is out of the ign she hears the chime chiming for the seatbelt ,check engine light flashing, gauges jumping and some type of hissing noise? Its a 1988 beretta 2.5 i know its something electrical just need to know if its a easy fix and what to look for. Also she said that one time she hooked the seatbelt up and it stopped. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like something is shorting out or a ground has come loose.
For fun just unplug the seatbelt wire. Then see what you come up with.

Others will chime in with more useful info, don't worry.
