I was scanning craigslist today and found someone selling a Vega GT engine.

2.3l Overhead Cam engine.

Mmm, all 78hp!

A Cosworth would be cool to have though;

My parents had a 75 coupe that had a completely rusted floor. Then a loaded 76 wagon that was orange with woodgrain. It had options like a clock and lots of added faux wood. The engine from the rusty 75 went into the 76. That car was retired in 80 in favor for a 78 Monza wagon with a V6.

Its amazing how these cars didn't hold up for more than a few years each.

Cosworth got the DOHC head. I think its crazy that this engine is even around. Most of then were junked because of cracked blocks. Aluminum blocks!!!
