Tube leaking anti-freeze on passenger wheel well?

I noticed my passenger side wheel well has anti-freeze all over it, and there is a weird tube dripping antifreeze occasionally. I looked it up on google and all I found was that it is possibly for the AC to leak water out of. Any clues?

probably the tube that runs off the one by the water pump along the pass side wheel well to the heater core

IIRC there is also a tank overflow hose in that area that will dump if the tank is too full.

I would imagine there is an overflow tube.. Funny how I can't remember where it is. lol The A/C drain is on the firewall, so that shouldn't be it. And if it was leaking from there, it would be a bad heater core.

Okay, seems like a retarded place to purge fluids over a drive wheel (or any wheel for that matter) lol

Make sure your tank isn't cracked somewhere.

Well, you don't want it full to the top. You want it about half full or so. Too much and it will purge some out, as the system will expand when it gets hot, especially if there is any trapped air in it.. Whenever I have replaced radiators, water pumps, etc, I always fill it to the halfway point. I will run the engine, get it to operating temp (Basically let it idle till it heats up enough to open the thermostat and kick on the fan), bleed the system if it needs it using the bleeder on the waterpump bypass tower, then shut it down and let it cool back off. Later I top off the tank to approximately halfway again. I may check the system a few times over the next few days following, to make sure the level stays pretty even. That's all there is to it.

That is definitely the coolant reservoir overflow tube. If you look at the side of the reservoir (the side facing the serp belt) you will see an indication for "FULL COLD". After the car has sat, say overnight, that's where the level should be. If it is much higher, and then when the system is hot, it is entirely possible for the reservoir to "vent" via the wheelwell tube. If the level is OK and you still have this occurring, you may very well be overheating. (Make sure you are using a good 50/50 mix, and if it's been more than a couple of years, may be time for an antifreeze flush and fill.)

It got a full flush September (or early November?) 2011 when I got it (one of the first things we did to it) because the anti-freeze was garbage (only good to like, 10 degrees!) and I always wait until it's fully cold to fill it to full cold. Regardless it seems to have stopped. Wasn't overheating to my knowledge, the temperature gauge only hits half way at most, and most of the time it's below that.

On the 89's, there is a steel tube that runs for the heater bypass down the pass wheel well and down and across the firewall...that will rust and leak or possible rub through and leak. I have had to replace this tube on mine.

The overflow purges to the outside of the passenger wheel well (drains on the tire basically).
