NEED HELP!

Post by alphajg7 »

ive got a 1989 Beretta GT, and im have a rough time trying to figure out what these darn wires are. ive been having an issue with my battery draining and yesterday while i was working on my seats i found wires connected to my seat belt buckles on both the driver and passanger side, I noticed they were making a humming like sound and were very hot to the touch, can someone PLEASE tell me what these wires are? its not in any wiring diagram in my manual, nor can i find it online, if someone could just give me the name of these things than i may be able to figure out what the heck i need to replace lol, thanks for all the help!

Those wires tell the car is your seatbelt is clipped or not. This is how the dash light knows to come on. Just disconnect them... I haven't had mine hooked up for years. Although if they are making noise and warm to the touch you may have a bigger issue.
