new ride..not a retta...or a chevy..prepare to flame

Post by blackedz26 »

Well, my search for a ride is over, go into a 97 eclipse with the 420a, 5 speed. Power sunroof, crank windows, after market 17s, clear tails, with 162xxx miles. Someone put a stainless insert around the dash bezel, looks pretty good. Body is decent with a fist size whole in the passenger side rocker. With some dents here and there and some scratches and what not. Worst thing is the transmission syncros are going out, so u have to 2x clutch it and its good. New motor mount, axles, some other stuff up front, clutch and etc, and has stage two cams. Oh ya, it has a new radiatr and new speakers. All in all its a great car, runs great. And it has excelent interior. No cracks in the dash lol. I have some plans for the car,, but thats enough aboumt it for now. Before i reveal the price, i want some people to guess what i paid for it. I got a great deal on it which is the maon reason i got it

$750 95 z.. blew up, parted, scrapped
$1500 96 black z.. totaled :(( rip
$675 91 gt 5spd.. sold

Based on the trans synchros, dents, scratches and rocker rot...$600 to $800?

I was looking at them (a Turbo AWD Talon, to be specific) before I got the GTU.

So you basically paid for an aftermarket cam and some wheels and got a car as a bonus? That does sound pretty cool.

Ya, its pretty nice. Without goin into details, its nice not having a rev limiter, well not at least till 6500 rpms. Im surprised how well i like it being a tuner. ( i def do not classify a beretta a tuner lol) im mixed on the exaust, it sounds like ur typical ricer. What could i put on it to not sound like a douche? On the hi end i think it sounds great, low end sounds good, and idle sounds amazing b.c if the cams.but mid range is eh at best. Oh ya, it also has a new timing belt and tru cai. :D

I just bought this a week or so ago. Its my winter project. 90 Talon TSI Awd 5 speed picked it up for $500. Motor needs put back together. Clean body.

Btw i consider my Beretta as an American Tuner. 92 Quad 4 with fart can and everything lol

Ok I'll be more specific... Also if you go by the Urban dictionary (about the only place you can find a definiton for "tuner") a Beretta does't fit.
