Now that is luck!
You can use carb cleaner and spray in the lock. After it dries shoot a little spray oil in there(for the rods) and then put a little grease on the key(move the key all the way forward and back). That may help this new one last longer.

Yeah, i will do that. i already felt it was more harder(compared to my old one) to tun ingition off and get the key out. i am sure this car was parked for 5years there or even longer so it was abit harder to turn the key. so i will do this today and hope it will not break again ;) .

so... does your car have this rubber universal joint on it? I'm curious now to see if they left that off of GTZ for more wheel feel vs the Base models.

Well i did not take the steering apart and i couldnt see this part when i got it out of the car and swapped it in my car.
I just can say my stock one does not have this and the steering from the 93 base either.
