i'm talking about getting the springs compressed/re-set (by a hydraulic press).

I dropped my Civic with a 1.75" advertised drop and it was more like 2" when I measured it out.

If the springs don't settle (hard to imagine a spring that wouldn't settle) then you could probably cut some of the coil. A stiffer aftermarket coil might not get as soft as cut OEM springs, especially if you are only cutting a few inches off just to drop it down 0.2-0.4".

I don't advise it, but if the guys running full-size street trucks with cut springs can still get around and not kill anyone, then you should be fine.

thanks for all the feed back the only question i have then is wat is better cannuck springs or sprint sprints cuz i found those plus they are blue which is wat i want

i know a few people cut aftermarket springs, but wouldnt it "damage" the spring? in such sense as of the spring was designed only for the desired lowering spec?

There is a huge argument on cutting springs... Just do some searching online. Bottom line when you cut a spring you completely change it's spring rate and if its a progressive spring in any way they it changes even more.

Bottom line there is no reason to cut a spring unless you cant afford to have someone make you the proper spring with a correct spring rate that you know and also know how it will respond. Cutting just creates too many variables and the result is unknown except for the immediate drop in height.
