Hello everyone, long time, no post...

I had this part land on my counter last week and I thought it may be of interest to you all...

1997 Chevrolet S-10 2.2L
150,000 miles... clean, one owner...
original anti-freeze
Ran fine, no over heating, no issues... except no heat!

WOW!

I don't know how it didn't overheat like that! The rest of the cooling system must be incredibly stout LOL

The gauge didnt say it was overheating because the hot water never go to the sender! haha

I'm only assuming, that the impeller blades are what's missing in that picture? If so, my god. That IS bad.

Dexcool doesn't do this... Unfortunately there are to many myths floating around about that stuff. Granted it's not the best stuff on earth (like Snapple), BUT it's not that bad.

I use Peak Global Lifetime coolant in all of my vehicles.

Yeah, it's probably more the fact that it was 15 year old antifreeze.

You just gotta break your car more often. I'd have the motor out of my beretta at least once a year so the coolant was flushed often haha

I'm that way too, but I save the coolant and re-use it. lol

i do that too got a big plastic pan that's like 4' square to catch it all in. don't necessarily break it but it does come apart at least once a year.
